View Tutorial movieThe newsletter manager allows you to create as many template newsletters as you like. You may have a newsletter for customers who have purchased from your store in the past and a separate newsletter for customers who have only elected to join your mailing list without making a purchase.
Email will be sent through a POP 3 server to ensure they have the best chance of being received.
Note: You are only able to send newsletters if you have an email which is hosted with Ashop Commerce written in your orders email field under store settings. This means that your domain must be delegated or pointed to Ashop Commerce's IP and your email address must be listed in your admin under the settings menu in 'email and domain'. This is to prevent our servers being used to send spam.
The screenshot below demonstrates an example of a newsletter ready for mailing or simply saving as a template for later use.
'Create a new template' or 'Select a saved newsletter'
You will firstly be given the option only to create a newsletter, once you have done this and wish to modify or use a previously saved one you can select it from this drop down list. It's name is created by it’s subject line. This will display the newsletter on screen for further modification before sending or saving changes.

This will save the newsletter you are creating as a template for later use. You can retrieve the template using the “select a template” drop down box located at the bottom of this page.
Send newsletter
This button will instantly send the selected newsletter on screen to the selected mailing list. This may takesome hours to send as they are placed in a que including all newsletters sent. They are sent periodically as to not be picked up as spam.
Send a test message
This button will allow you to send a test message to a nominated email address which will pop up once the button is pressed.
Important: With spam issues becoming increasingly important, please ensure your newsletters are only sent to customers who have elected to receive your newsletter manually by themselves only. Do not send emails to recipients who have not subscribed to your list.
Ashop have included an unsubscribe feature which automatically populates to the footer of your newsletters giving your customer the option to stop any future newsletters from being sent. This will remove them from your list automatically.
